Your Hosts, Heather and Joe Guido: "Make Tama Kwa your home away
from home. Enjoy the great outdoors like never before."
We're located right next to prime pickerel spawning grounds.
There are also excellent stocks of great northern pike and
muskie. Plus smallmouth bass - one of the best fighters to be
found in Ontario waters. You'll find largemouth and rock bass,
yellow perch, and a number of other species, all of which may be
caught within sight of our resort. Little wonder that Lake
Nipissing is world renowned for the variety and abundance of its
fish. To make your fishing as enjoyable as possible, our
well-maintained 18-foot fiberglass boats and 15 hp electric
start outboard motors take you out to your favourite fishing
holes quickly.
All of our housekeeping cottages feature not only a heavy-duty
electric stove with oven, but also barbecue, full-size microwave
oven, and automatic dishwashers. Each well-appointed cottage is
meticulously maintained, with attention paid to every detail. In
addition to colour TV, DVD and an AM-FM radio, all cottages
feature an open verandah that overlooks the lake, a picnic
table, modern four-piece bathroom, and two full-size double beds
in each of the two bedrooms. Our water is not drawn from the
lake, but is pumped crystal clear from a 300-foot well drilled
into the solid granite of the Canadian Shield.
Our 63.71-acre private property includes 987 feet of shoreline
and 300 feet of clean shallow, sandy beach with children's
playgrounds and bonfire area. In short, we offer everything to
make you comfortable - and then some. Wait until you see our
magnificent sunsets and you'll know what we mean.
We still haven't gotten around to telling you about the wide
range of exciting activities you can enjoy at Tama Kwa. The
photos show you some of our great fishing, hiking, mountain
biking and bird-watching opportunities. There is swimming,
boating, pedal boating, horseshoes, rock hounding. Even mushroom
picking is a popular activity.* NEW FOR 2011:
